AdvantageTimberLou
I didn't buy it but not like it means anything, gas was $3.49 yesterday, May 15th and today, May 16th its still at $3.49 a gallon. Protesting will not do a thing, someone needs to step in and do something. This is probably going to kill the tourism industry this summer!!! Jeramie
I bought Gas Monday but not out of protest. I didn't want to walk home... This will never work. They may show a slight drop for one day but a huge spike for the next. Until we can honestly regulate the amount of gas we use we will never do anything to change anyones mind.... BowJoe
What people fail to realize it that most of us don't fill up but one day every 2 weeks or once every week. SO not filling up one day out of the year is just like the Iraqi war. You can't win if the enemy knows when you are going to abandon your efforts. The real secret is to not use your vehicle for a 2 week period and how many of us can do that? I know I can't ride 30 miles every day, one way for 2 weeks and with 12 hour turn arounds. I'd be riding for over 2 hrs a day and I'd be exhausted to boot only to have to get 5 hrs of sleep only to get up and do it again. The only thing to help save gas and oil is a free energy vehicle like say a solar powered car or an electric car that gets it's energy from a windmill battery. I'm not going to say that the car companies are the only ones to blame because they only provide what the consumer will buy but they have definately not made one tenth of a percent in effort to stop the oil consumption in the world. The only reason why is that they would not make as much money compared to the research and lack of attraction to say a solar powered car. They have a hard time finding people that will accept going 45 mph instead of 90 down the interstate. It's a win win situation if that were to happen. You'd have less death related accidents, less oil consumption, you could power the radio and other non essential items inside the car with "as you drive" solar charging panels and you could reserve deisel consumption for ambulances and police cars and semis. But first, we'd have to give up being the reason for the problem in the first place.
wtnhunt
Got a little less than a half a tank in the yukon and about 3/4's of a tank in the truck. Did not get gas yesterday, will probably have to fill both up before the end of this week though. School is out this Friday, so after that will be able to park one of our vehicles for the most part making minimal trips cutting our fuel expenses way down.
