what kind of release does everyone use? i have a scott little goose...but i have been going back and forth trying to decide if i want to try a t-handle type...kind of like the idea of just hooking it up to the bow and having it right there when you are ready to shoot. any suggestions on which one to use? i don't think i want to spend over $100 on one just yet, at least not until i decide if i like that style after using it.

I liked the theory of the handle release, but didn't like it as much as my wrist model when I used it. Casey loves the handle release and has used it for about a year. It's a Tru-ball and works very well.

Lou is right about checking AT...good deals can be had there ;)

I use the Scott Mongoose and love it. I really doesn't take that much extra effort to hook it up before a shoot. I like the fact it is hooked to me and cannot be dropped. A buddy of mine had a handle release, hooked it on the string as he has done many times and it ended up on the ground. He has no idea what he did but it came loose, so he had to make an extra trip up and down the tree. He still uses and likes it though, now he just keeps it in his pocket until he is ready to shoot.

im using a Carter One shot wrist strap release. i have several T handle style releases i use for target shooting, but i didnt like them for hunting. i found i couldnt get a consistant anchor point when i wore my face mask like i could with my caliper release.;)
