dg
I assure you that you won't wake up after having your liver removed and they won't kill you for your organs nor stop trying. New There's too many instances in this world of cutting off the good appendages and leaving the bad. You can't assure diddly squat! No thanks! wildside
Okay, clearly the concept of organ donation is not something you support. That's okay. What a wonderful thing it is that we have freedom of choice. Make sure your wishes to not donate are clear to your family and your doctors. I couldn't agree with New more. The process is basically how he describes it (with some variation on the theme). The health care profession, as a whole, is there to support life, not rush death. When it is perfectly clear that the potential donor meets all of the criteria, only then does anything happen. Everything in life has a horror story, but I urge people to look at the larger picture and overall track record. Exturkinator didn't go on that flight to harvest organs from a donor because he had to, but because he supported organ donation and the many lives that benefit from it. I truly respect freedom of choice and no one is to ever be pushed into something that is not comfortable to him or her. I commend those who choose to donate and respect the right of choice of those who don't.
dartonman
I am a donor....and if you see all the little kids, and even adults less fortunate from my big healthy hard headed body...I would more than be happy to leave eyes for someone to see....or have my heartbeat again in a heart that can walk down the isle with their little girl...I will always believe in the power of choice and the human spirit that drives it......Wildside, again..if I had not..welcome to the forums....al
