c'mon guys ..... don't be wishing your lives away. This is a great time of the year to do all of those things that the long, cold winter doesn't allow you to do. Enjoy all of the seasons. Hunting season will get here quick enough and then be followed by that long, long, long, boring deep-freeze called winter. Right now I am having a ball fishing, camping, Target practicing with both rifle and bow, doing all the puttery yard work things, and lots of cook-outs, along with all the other neat things that the great weather allows us to do. It's probably not as big a deal for you southern folks, but up north here, I really don't want to see the summer leave too quickly.

We all have a lot to do this summer, but all we are saying is we are excited for it already. I wouldn't exactly say getting excited about bow hunting is "wishing our lives away".

Amen to that...

Can't wait for season to get here. Because I have a date with a big buck with my bow this year...

Yes, bowhunting keeps popping into my head fairly frequently these days, and even during the summer months there is a lot of preparation, planning, practicing and other hunting related activities going on. However, I'm a pretty diversified guy and don't really spend a lot of time counting the days. For me, I want to extend these summer months as much as I can and take full advantage of the outdoor opportunities that summer provides. At my age, time flies by fast enough without wishing it would go faster.....lol.

ive got a whole summer of Rubber deer hunting to do.:D thats what i like about shooting 3D and field archery during the summer, it keeps me in shape so that when i get my hunting bow out the learning curve isnt as bad.;) a lot of you should try a little 3D or just a little practice each week if you can. just 30 arrows a week is fine.

this is also the time to take care of your hunting gear.

do you need a new string?

need new arrows? or some fixed? what about that slight squeek in your stand? have you tested your old broadheads? new new ones? need replacement blades?

i used to help out in an archery shop and you would be amazed at the guys that poured into the shop 2 weeks before the season needing arrows, strings, peeps, releases, rests and a lot of other stuff.

just remember that a well prepared bowhunter brings home the game, not excuses..;)

That is some very good advice Tony. I work for free at my bowshop at the momemnt and I get to shoot for free too along with that. I've been shooting nearly everyday since the end of april. Its been a lot of fun and I'm gaining a lot of expierience with the bow. My first league starts tomorrow at 7:00. Right now I have been going there every day since 2 weeks ago. A lot of guys come in to shoot and buy stuff for their bows right now and quite a few people have bought new bows. This summer is going to be a lot of fun down there and I know that for a fact. I will be ready this year for anything the deer woods throw at me shooting wise. ;) I have the a lot of confidence in my equipment and myself with all the practice.
