Guest mikemcd
not bashing the whiskerbiscuit or anything but i've decided to try a drop away rest and am looking at the ripcord. anything bad about them? is there a better one? thanks mike
AdvantageTimberLou
The Rip Cord is a great rest, you will be happy with it. Personally I like the Vital Bow Gear Kazaway rest, you get full containment of your arrow and the beauty of a drop away. You can flip your bow upside down and the arrow DOES NOT move at all. Its fully contained. The Rip Cord has a top holder to prevent it from coming out but the arrow will still clang up against it. The Kazaway does not. Check out the video of it on VBG's website. Widowmaker
Yes, they fall down on a slow let-down unlike the QAD which will stay up until fired!! Thats what I have on my Drenalin!!
Guest Finn
I bought one for my Dad and it developed a squeak when he drew it back. Went to a buddy's pro shop and they worked a full afternoon on it and couldn't get it to stop. He liked using the Rip Cord, just couldn't deal with the noise. The company wouldn't replace it, so we changed. He's now using a QAD Ultra rest and I went to that last year, also. Same concepts, fully contained fall aways. booner1331
I used one last season, have liked it so far.............. I put a small amount of mole skin on the rest, NO noise!!
Guest bowhunter56
Like all rest that have a attachment to your cables, timing has to be right when tied in, to release the release.
Tom2008
I just bought one and absolutley love it! A guy at my shop bought one too.We put some felt on the top bar of it and all the way around the V and there is no noise at all. I stronly recommend this rest to anyone. I like that you can set the V up before you shoot.
Guest bowboy0
I love the Mathews rest however Muzzy Zero effect is a great rest and so is Trophy taker!!! My friend and his dad have the Ripcord and doesn't like it as much as he thought he would but it is still a good rest.
Guest Finn
We use moleskin where the arrow slides and that wasn't the problem with my Dad's rest. Ticked me off the company wouldn't do anything and I got stuck with an expensive rest that didn't hold up. RipCord got my $100 or so dollars one time, but I'll not buy from them again.
