Kids found...

Yesterday my two children and three of their friends (ages 8-12) rode their bikes to the local Little League park to socialize. They decided to go for a hike in the woods, and proceeded to get lost. We found their bikes, but not the kids.

About four hours later we get a call from some guy doing yard work reporting the kids were at his house, lost. The man gave me directions and in ten minutes or so I picked them up - six miles from where they left their bikes.

Guess who won't be riding their bikes for the next two weeks?:o

Thank you everyone for your replies. I had to take it easy on the punishment part though. Amanada already has a broken nose from a misplayed fly ball during a softball game last week.:p She can't take gym class, or play trumpet, not to mention all the games she is missing.:D I'm a little suprised in her since she took the hunter safety class last summer. They do teach about what to do if you get lost in the woods, right?

This is finals week at college and I had exams yesterday. Anatomy. We had to take the unit 4 exam AND the year-end final AT THE SAME TIME! Two hours, 186 questions total. Needless to say I got ZERO hours of studying done this weekend. It did lousy on the unit 4 exam, but scored in the low A to high B range on the final. I should end up with a B for the course. I've got one more exam (College Algebra) this Thursday. I'm supposed to be studying now, but I need to relax just a little.
