njbowhntr
What 3-D deer target do you shoot? Pros/Cons? I am looking for a target for the backyard. I am not worried about price, as long it is of good quality.
Gator
If I get another one, it will be a McKenzie or Rhinehart. I have a Delta, and am not really impressed with how it is holding up, I have maybe 150 shots in it.
okiedog
I have a Mckinze that has held up awesome. The foam is a little rough on it and its faded some, but considering this target has been outside year around for 7 years it is still in great shape. It has never been brought in out of the weather, and sits in full sun through the whole day. I'am a big fan of Rhinehart, but my wallet is not. I will buy another Mckinze though. hutchies
I have a small shed like one of those little metal kind from Sears. I have my targets in there. When I want to shoot I open up the doors and shoot and when I'm done they are out of the weather. As for the next target it will be a Rhinehart. Hardwood_HD
i shoot at the Full Rut Glendale Buck. Its holding up great but i have had one problem with it when shooting broadheads in it. The vital area is basically a block 4x4, theres the layers in the middle of foam and when i pull out my arrow the broadheads catch the foam where it meets the layers and pulls my inserts right out. Then ya have to dig through the target to get the insert back
Chrud
I use a GlenDel Full Rut and really like it. I've had great luck with Field Logic targets for fieldpoints and broadheads. Rinehart's are really nice, but really expensive. McKenzie are decent. I've shot those two at a club before. The only other target I've owned was a Delta and was not impressed at all. I didn't shoot broadheads at it because fieldpoints ripped it apart. And the target didn't seem much bigger than a fawn.
hutchies
BTW-Delta and McKenzie are the same company now.
JDAWG
I bought a Backyard Buck at Dicks Sporting Goods. Have shot at it a lot and it's holding up well. I've shot broadheads at it as well.
Rayzorp
I got a great deal on a Rinehart, have had it for about 3 years and it's still doing good. Just to help, I keep it inside when I'm not shooting,, recommend Rinehart, pricey but good
wtnhunt
My 3d was a blue ridge, it lasted a few years sitting out in the weather and then deteriorated rather quickly. And it did not fare well with broadheads either despite saying it was supposed to. Pretty well shoot a wal mart cube of block target for now. Want to get a new 3d soon. Not sure which one we will get, would like to get a layered target for shooting practice blades in broadheads, but really dont want to drop what it costs for the glenn del tagets
