I've about had enough of this ****

Don't remember if I told you all or not about when I was working over x-mas break as a custodial supervisor (but I'm not on contract and get paid less, I think of myself more as an assistant,lol) and I had a girl student worker who couldn't take authority, then when I told her only use a certain cleaning chemical on toilets...it got out of hand and was used by others on other things. I was incharge of a dorm a supervisor usually runs because she had surgery. Anyway things were a mess for awhile...mainly because this supervisor has issues about being in control and is anal about everything. Even the boss of custodial wasn't happy about hwo she was behaving...and thing is her step-daughter was working on my crew along with her friend who was the girl who had problems with taking authory and all this other stuff. Well let's just say we all thought it was over since like January, me and the other supervisor. Ha ha ha ha....NOT! She comes up to me yesterday, basically implies that her daughter and friend said it was all my doing and implied I was lying! She even brought my sister out because my sister had been working on my crew, but she shouldn't have been concerned with her. Anyway this supervisor after having an in your face reprimand with me, goes back to her nitty gritty obsessive inspection of everything we are cleaning, one of the other supervisors comes out to see if I was alright and what that was all about. She said blow it off and don't worry about it because she and everyone else is sick of her **** and her taking charge of everything. Well this morning two of the supervisors and the boss told me that they and me and one of the other supervisors may have a meeting tomorrow morning with a guy in charge of hiring/firing or whatever about this supervisor's behavior...it's out of hand and she's too old to be pulling this stuff....she's got issues that's for sure. She was going around re-doing our work (students work is one thing, supervisors work is another, we are trained, duh) and one of the supervisors came odwn to another building we were cleaning to help and told me she was having a couple student workers cleaning the edge of the floors with toothbrushes....NO JOKE! She has gone overboard. Anyway if you think of it, pray this meeting will go and I can say what God wants me to and the guy who we are meeting will understand what is going on....Last thing I expected was to have to deal with stress like this...it's stupid really....Ok, sorry for the long post.

Oh, I won't be doing this much longer...I'm done after next week so I can get ready to start my job as a counselor at an Env. Ed camp run by the NYS DEC. She's been a problem for others so it's not just me and I don't think sh gets that I'm not the student worker I use to be when in college...and she shouldn't be talking down to me like that..or to the older supervisors for that matter. Just figured I'd vent and hopefully someone would understand what a pain some fellow employees are.

I am the head custodian at a large church, so I do understand what a pain some employees can be. I also know the way to get people to work hard for you is not to belittle them and make them feel insignificant. I hope this gets worked out. It's never fun working in an environment like that.
