I've never shot a Benelli but have heard good things about them. Not a lot of negative things, except they are heavy. I also heard they are very pricey. I'll be putting in a Jelly Head Turkey Choke. From what I've heard and read, the Mossberg 935 in Hardwoods Green HD is going to be my choice. I sure do like Mossberg. I had one during a rabbit hunt and killed 4 rabbits within 15minutes. One I tagged at 20 yards running away from me. I'll also have to check out some of the Mossbergs. Funny you should mention Benelli, I was at the local Dicks Sporting Goods staore a few weekends ago, decided to check out the Benelli, with the HD camo,, I honestly didn't like the feel,, it was like I was holding a heavy toy, Mosseberg much nicer, saving my spare change for that one.. just my 2 cents.. In fact I expect it will bruise you up pretty good being so light. Like Strut said, depends on how much money ya go. My buddy has a SBE that jams often when using el' cheapo 2 3/4" plinking loads. My Beretta has never jammed. My buddy also shoots his Winchester 1400 better than his $1100.00 Benelli. The wour SBE kicks no harder than my gas auto in turkey loads and they don't jam in cold. If it does, send it to the factory for a tune up with its spring. I use mine duck huntin cause we have a shiney finsih on ours but it shoots like a dream. My Winchester SX2 was my favortie for awhile, but I'm starting to fall in love with the SBE again. O yeah... mossberg dosent even compare.. just handled a 935 at scheels in appleton.. and you cah feel the difference.. personaly i would stoop to a remington before i got the 935. Check out a Browning gold or winchester SX2 also. If your talkin about the pump NOVA its a great gun, little to worry about with rust. Rotating bolt for flawless ejection. I shoot mine with out the recoil reducer and don't think i need it. Its no heavier than any other pump shotgun. I have a Black, ducks unlimited edition that i tape up every year for turkeys.
