muggs
I haven't been able to fill my buck tag, I've been wating for a shooter and didn't really get that opportunity yet. I usually get my buck by the fist three weeks of Nov, so I don't really have much experience with cold weather buck hunting. I have a few good food sources that will be there even with the cold, I plan on targeting those. Are there any scents etc... that might increase my odds of pulling in bucks?? It's supposed to warm up this weekend and I'll be able to sneak out Sunday, they should be moving. Any tips would be appreciated.

Missed160
Re: late season/cold weather buck tips? This late in the season, it seems to me that the best way to hunt is on the food sources. They aren't looking for does or anything so as for scents, I don't use them. Find where their feeding, get the wind right, and be quiet!! The cold weather really makes sounds & Scents carry, plus the deer have been hunted for a couple monthes already. Good Luck
EIGHTPOINT
Re: late season/cold weather buck tips? Food is where the deer will be. Unfortunatly they tend to herd up this time of year so if your not seeing anything it could make for long days afield. OR you can see 15 to 20 at a time. Don't be surprised to see alot of does bunched up. If you do see a lone deer it will probably be a buck.
