Guest crackshotcripple
Well, I live on the edge of a creek and we have coyotes that live there. They keep their distance from people but don't seem afraid. Recently though there is one big coyote that responds instantly to a pup call, and I mean ready to fight. Also theirs a spot along the creek that if your movin a little to slow this coyote will make its presence known and if you don't leave it will get aggressive. Luckily I have discovered coyotes are scared to death of dobermans. anyways does that sond like the coyote might have pups?
NiteRunner
While coon hunting the one night we cut the dogs loose in a weedy field right off the road. Well my dog came back to us while the other dog we had went into the woods. He had his tail up, back hair Bristled and strutting around, then we heard a coyote yapping not 75 yards out. My dog headed her way and they just kept circling each other out in the field with her yapping and trying to get him away from the woods. She had to have pups in there was the only thing we could come up with. She was not afriad, she was a mother protecting her pups. I have to wonder what she would have done had we or the dogs gone closer to the holes we thought the pups were in.
