dsharp01
This year I ended up with a dissapointing season and 2 empty tags. Season started great, but quickly went sour with toms henning up early and staying that way all season. No matter what I did and tried it didn't work. To sum it up in a few words, "this season was truely one for the birds". Time to get in gear for bow season. How did everyone else make out? woodsman2230
you are not alone. I had the same thing happen to me. Season started out great. birds were talking a bit, I saw some birds and actually missed one the first thursday, but after the second week, it went sour. It will be better next year. I can feel it! Bachflock
I was blessed. My first ever turkey season and I tagged out the 2nd day of the early hunt. Made for a LONG season after that though. I'm sure I'll get "educated" in years to come, though.
Turkeygirl
Yeah, the gobblers I encountered were henned up it seemed all morning and all month. Oh well, I got my chance on May 4th when a hen left a bird and he started gobbling..called in a nice jake who strutted through a corn field to me. My 9th bird...after 3-4 years without getting one. christsavedme
I know what you mean.....God blessed me with a great opening day in which I did get the chance to harvest a great tom. But after that it was all downhill! Lots of hens around here. And that was all that was on there minds!

I was lucky to harvest a jake the second day of the season, because the rest of it sounds just like yours!! Only one this year for me!!
