LifeNRA
Well after reading all these posts, I finaly figured out what is wrong with double drop! He drinks PEPSI!!!!!!! You should be drinking COKE!!!!!! LMBO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Because Coke is better!!!!! LMBO!!!!!!!!!!! :D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D You know, I never had any major issues with my 1994 full size Blazer. But both Chevy cars that I own from new gave me headaches! My parents bought two different Honda's. Neither of them costs them anything! The only work was the maintenence when needed! LOF, and ect. Hmmmmmmmmmm all that saved money was going back into their bank account, not a Chevy dealers account!!! I am done buying vehicles that soon after the warrenty is gone, I get hit with major bills! See ya Chevy! Since I dont drive fords either, but then they were never an option!
Nick
Hey vermonthunter.....put it this way....I work for a division of GM where we make parts for GM, Ford, and Chrysler...Whats it helping my job security with people driving toyotas? BTW DD, I got a Duramax LBZ in the driveway, anytime you wanna hook em up.
VermontHunter
Nick, what you seem not to be getting is that you work for a division of one HUGE Corparation that chooses not to make a 100% American vehicle ,, what about the job security of those thousands of Americans trying to feed their families making an American product ?? What just because it has a label of Toyota on it it makes it less important ?? It might be just me but I would say not.. This buy American thing would be a great excuse, except for one thing ,,, the big three isn't American any longer, they all jumped country in the 70's but that seems to be fine with you and some others... OH Well we'll leave this one alone AGAIN ...

double_drop
Here is more wonderful info on the jap crap!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! http://www.thetorquereport.com/2007/03/2007_toyota_tundra_is_not_off.html The NHTSA has just released the crash test results of the new 2007 Toyota Tundra and they are not as good as expected. Both the regular cab and crew cab versions of the truck only received four stars. Every other full-size truck has received five stars, including the recently released Chevy Silverado and GMC Sierra. This means that the likelihood of being injured in a frontal crash could be up to 10% higher in the Tundra than its domestic rivals. The main issue is that the Tundra does not ride on a full boxed frame like its competition. Instead it is a three part system with only the front part being fully boxed. This news comes right after Toyota has announced incentives on the Tundra. This news only gives the other truck makers another claim that their product is better. craig mack
Your crazy to say Toyota is the only real american made vehicle here. They get theyre parts all over just like everyone else. We will see how "AMERICAN" they are we they have a bunch of retirees out on the street they are paying for. I bet you they go right back where they came from along with all there profits. Unfortunatly nothing is 100% american made anymore, everyone had to go "global" so the rich can get richer. I work for Chrysler so I guess I'm biased. I just cant wait to see in 10-15 years how great they treat their american employees when that profit margin gets smaller.
LifeNRA
Doesnt this fall into the catagory of product BASHING??? LMBO!!!!!!!! Mods start doing your work!!! LMBO!!!!!! :D :D :D :D :D I just love the CHILDISH talk of, "my truck is better than your truck!!!" Drive what you want, dont worry about what others drive! Personally, I could care less about how powerfull this or that truck is! There are other problems in the world!
VermontHunter
It would seem that car and driver has a totally different set of test results concerning the NEW Tundra ... http://www.caranddriver.com/autoshows/12288/2007-toyota-tundra-crew-max.html You see this is the thing about so called vehicle research on the web.. Anyone can find the same amount of trash and good if they look hard enough .. And why are you so fixed on the NEWLY REALEASED Tundra ??? Like I said previously,, every manufacturer has is LEMONS and Toyota isn't any exception to the rule.... Where they differ is in the service and warrenty departments.. And Craig,, YES the Toyota Tundra and Camery are the only 100% built, manufactured and assembled vehicles in America today... I think this debate has ran it's course like it did in the NASCAR room....BRAND loyalty will seem to always prevail..

double_drop
You cannot dominate every catagory..... Toyota has the best all around truck, hands down. This statement is super funny. They should let me run a tundra on my farm and guarntee it wouldn't do half the work that my 2 fords would do. For sure they wouldn't pull what my trucks could and wouldn't handle half the beating. Half the truck is plastic.

Nick
Come on.....You gotta brag your toys up. You spend the big money for them, so you don't want to hear somebody saying theirs is better. I think its somewhat unfair to say this debate is childish. I don't know about anybody else, but I'm sure not worked up over this. I KNOW what my toys can do...and if anyone says they can't......I'll prove it.

Strut10
Here's a stir for the pot.............. I do not own a truck at the moment. I have owned 4x4 pickups and/or SUV's from Ford, Chevy, Dodge, Toyota & Jeep in my lifetime. Below is a pic of a 10 year old truck that has been put through 10 times more than anybody's truck on this forum..................I GUARANTEE IT. Ford, Chevy, Dodge or whatever.........I cannot believe this thing's still in one piece........let alone reliable and up for work every day. Too bad Ford "had a better idea" and quit making them like this.
ODH
LOL, Good. I hope every person that bought one, the engine seizes up in it before they can get it taken care of. Buy American. VERY TRUE!!! I dont care if it's Ford, Dodge, Chevy, as long as it's American, it's better than that foreign junk
dg
There is no American-made vehicle anymore. There is a partially supported American-made vehicles. People who say I buy American-made don't have a clue on the world economy and market.
