MCH
Saw Finn's thread and it reminded me of the virtual tour our country club has put on the net. The course isn't extremely difficult, but with the trees and water it makes accuracy your number one priority. If you'll notice there are a couple of very short par 4's. Click this link Idabel Country Club and enter "[email protected]" as the UserID and "bigbertha" as your password. On a side note, I go up before the membership committee this month. toddyboman
good luck with the committee. Course looks like it has a tree or two to catch some wayward shots.
Guest Finn
That looks like a fun course. Couple of those 200+ yard par 3s look tough. Good luck with the membership
muggs
Nice looking course, and do yourself a favor...no stories from your college exploits when you go in front of the committee, K? btw- don't you work at the Idabel National Bank? This is the Idabel Country Club? Not much thought or creativity goes into naming stuff around your area huh Kev?

muggs
As long as there's only one of everything...I guess it's a good system.
Ohiobucks
Nice looking course! How's the IHOP over your way? (Idabel House of Pancakes)....
MCH
Not big enough for an IHOP unfortunately. We do have a McDonald's, Sonic, Subway, and rumor has it, Burger King has their sights on a location here too. Yep......we're moving on up!!!! muggs
How is that Sonic place? They advertise like mad in my area but I've never seen one? It looks pretty good too.
MCH
How is that Sonic place? They advertise like mad in my area but I've never seen one? It looks pretty good too. Seriously?? Thought everyone ate at Sonic. I like it. Hamburger patties are too thin but I love their fountain drinks. Nothing better than a Route 44 Coke and a fifth of........Vanilla Extract.:D
muggs
Better lay off fifth's of anything prior to your meeting before the committee.

Not sure what type of country club's you have around your parts, but around here, alcoholic intake is on the applications.
muggs
If it's actuall "on" the application, wouldn't it be "alocholic regurgitation"?
MCH
Nope. That would be a "party foul".
Guest Finn
Is it a private club? How strict are the membership requirements?
MCH
Fortunately, not very strict. Seriously, I've been told that the majority of applicants are approved but I'm not sure on the requirements. I just filled out the short application and had a member in good standing sign in order to recommend me for membership. It's not like the Skulls or anything. But I did read in the bylaws that there is a secret committee formed to investigate all new applicants.:D The club itself consists of golf course, pro shop, snack bar, tennis courts, swimming pool and a lounge/bar. The public is welcome to use the golf course, pro shop and snack bar but everything else is off limits. Also, being a member gets you invited to special events and tournaments. I'm already a member of the homeowner's association but its dues are seperate from the actual club's.
Guest Finn
You're probably on "Double Secret probation" to start out
