buckbuster11
Portland might not be that bad of a spot to go. They have Randolph and last years rookie of the year Brandon Roy. Besides Greg Oden is the next Shaq/Wilt Chamberlain, he doesn't need anybody else.
muggs
A resounding "ugh" goes out from C-Town.
buckbuster11
What a coincidence!! Thats the same sound we will hear the 16 times the Browns take the field this year.
muggs
Really? I guess it beats two trashy guys among a hord of 50,000 steelworkers and miners saying "hur come da Stillers! Supa Bool bund baby!!! Dat Big Bun is guud." (**pauses to spit his tobacco juice into an empty Campbell's soup can as his friend takes advantage of the silence to add**) "Hay, Bud, ur wife Ulga is luukin' purdy guud. How'd ja git her to shave her legs?"
buckbuster11
LMAO...guess I stepped on a nerve eh? Hey at least we get to say "Super Bool bund" in December and January.....you know during the actual football season. Clevelandites only say it in May and June as they pump out their chest and announce to the football world the high and mighty Browns are coming back to the top of the NFL (even though they were never there) before crashing back into reality in early September. muggs
You guys were 8-8 last year John. Big Ben is terrible...good thing your boys reached the summit because the Steelers are on the downward slope now my friend.
Hoyt03
I think Durant is more of a Tracy mcgrady type guy with a little more height and more athletic. He should be a good scorer
toddyboman
How is he doing.... K.Durant - stats.. PPG. 19.4 RPG 4.1 APG - 2.2 Min 33.1 FG% .402 FT% .865 What is Oden's current stats........:D

Weren't you guys telling me he was the next Garnett? Once Oden gets added to that Portland team, they're a shoe-in for the playoffs and give it a few years, I think they'll be in the finals...can't say that for the Sonics. Trust me. I know you think it seems like you're right, but it's really just that I'm so far ahead of the curve (about 3 years), you guys don't realize I'm right yet. Time will tell, just like it did with Vince Young.
toddyboman
Heck in a few years Old man Oden will be ready to retire.:p A few years really doesn't mean squat.....to much stuff can happen like injuries and trades. How good were the Celtic last year.......Then they go out and make some moves and BAM they are a contender. Going into the first year for Portland Oden was a flop....at least Durant is playing....so the Sonic are getting some roi on Durant. btw. the fly fisherman guy is pretty cool. muggs
Yeah, John (LifeNRA) hooked me up with the fly fisherman, pretty cool. Anyway, Oden's gonna be 19 when he starts playing in the NBA...big deal. Might as well get him healthy this year. That Portland team is young, and loaded with talent. Add a dominant inside post guy like Oden along side Aldridge, and let that young talent develop together...look out...I see a title run in their furture. Oden was the right pick at #1, Durant was the right pick at #2. He'll get his 19 a game, but he doesn't affect a game like a inside big man like Oden can...just the way it is. Look at Kobe. On his own, he can't win in the post season, they needed Bynum to develop and trade for Gasol...now they're scary.
toddyboman
I see the resident avatar thief has already took it too :D Oden is far from Dominant yet......:rolleyes:geez he hasn't even played a game yet how can you call him dominant. Yes Portland does have a ton of young talent but they are young and lots can happen yet. Kobe will still make or break the Lakers. Gasol is a nice...very nice addition but the lakers will still either win or loose by Kobe.
muggs
Kobe's their best player, probably the best in the league. I still think I'd rather have LeBron since he gets others involved more, but with a front court of Odom, Gasol, and Bynum- that's what will win a title for them. Once Shaq left, Kobe hasn't done anything except score a lot of points. Good for personal stats, but not much else.
toddyboman
first off I'm NOT a fan of Raper...:mad:I mean Kobe. I would rather build a team around LeBron too.....he is definitely a TEAM player but can take a game over all by himself if needed.

The guy's almost averaging a triple-double, leading the league in scoring, and most importantly...without him the Cavs are probably one of the five worst teams in the league. texastrophies
Who is this Oden guy that gets referred to a few times in this thread? Don't recognize the name. Must be a coach or ball boy or something, cause I can't find him in the stat sheets either. :chair:
