6sixpoint_nobrows
Im wanting to clear some brush and weeds so i can get my foot plot going before it gets too late. I went into farm and fleet and saw tey have some pretty good prices on " Big' N' Tuff, "Brush Killer" LV 400 2,4,D and also Amine 400 2,4,D has anyone ever used any of this stuff and is it footplot safe...i was just wondering what everyone thought...Thanks a lot
wtnhunt
Normally use glyphosate(generic roundup) here and it works well. Chris(Tominator) and some other guys use 2 4-D and it works for them. Just make sure to follow the directions, they should give a general post application planting guideline. Here with glyphosate I usually wait at least a week after the last spraying before planting. Tominator
I go to my local ag agent now. Much better prices for the quantity that I use. Be aware that 2-4-D is a broadleaf killer and won't kill grasses, so if you have any type of grass, like foxtail, orchard grass, crabgrass, etc., you'd be better off getting a generic roundup like William mentioned. Roundup does a pretty good job at killing everything except for maybe things like nutsedge, thistle, tangle weed, sheep sorrel, and giant ragweed. Bowtech_archer07
2-4-D is a good broadleaf herbicide, and it will kill most things and is safe as far as I know. However, if you can get it, I would reccommend Crossbow... it is strictly a brush killer and will definitely kill anything with a woody stem. However 2-4-D will do a good job as well. deerslayer79
I use roundup pro concetrate and 24D and get awesome results, however if you use the generic glyphosate and 24D add sometype of adjuvant or what we call sticker because the generic glypro and 24D contain 0% adjuvant and they need some to stick to the leaves..
