jcs3344
So are these things worth it.? ive heard good things of how they can help the late night light. Also, one of my buddies have one and i tried to put it on my sight but it didnt fit. DO you need curtain sight light for you sight ?
wtnhunt
DO you need curtain sight light for you sight ? Think you will have to get the right light for your sights if your sights are made to accept a light. The carolina archery firefox deluxe 3 pin sight came with a light when I bought it, think it was $79 for the sight with the light. I like how it works, and it makes a huge difference in the woods at times when I normally would not be able to see the pins well enough to shoot. Rhino
Check your state regs...they aren't legal in some states. They are legal here in MS. I personally don't feel the need for one using fiber optic sights. Also, if you are interested in putting a buck in P&Y, last time I looked sight pin lights would disqualify an entry. Back in the old days sight pin lights were available but in low light you could see your pins fine but due to the light you couldn't see your target. Not sure how the newer ones are now since I haven't even tried looking through one in low light for at least 15 years.
Turkeygirl
The fibers on my sight are so bright, I don't need one, lol. Althought lights are nice, I feel that if I needed to turn a light on, it's too dark to be shooting at a deer...
PAstringking
sight lights are great for indoor practice or 3d shooting but i dont use them for hunting. my fiber optic pins create enough light for me. if i cant see what im shooting at or my pins then i shouldnt be shooting. you will have to get the light for your paticular sight though. that even if your sight accepts a light. MikeB
One came with my sight, but I don't use it. I turned it on once and thought it was cool, but all my shots have been in daylight.
