Guest Andrea
Just wondering how many of you gals like to fish? I have to say that I am borderline obessesed with the sport, more so than hunting. I love to fish year round. Though summer fishing is the best. Bass fishing is my favorite type of fishing with catfishing a close second. I could fish from sun-up to midnite. I can run my own boat so I don't have to rely on my husband to take me. ( Thank goodness) I have gotten a few surprising looks from guys when I pass them on the river. I guess they must be thinking that my husband fell off somewhere. LOL So..................do you fish???
M00N
Yep, I love to fish. My favorite style of fishing is with waders near the dams around here for walleye. I also love to fish for catfish at night once in awhile. I do some bass and trout fishing too. Soon as I was old enough I got my boating/pwc license, so I too can just take the boat and head out when I want to. I grew up right next to the river my entire life, so I'm definately a bit of a river rat when it comes to knowing the best fishing spots and how to get around the river safely on my own. Guest Andrea
Wow, you actually have to have a license to drive a boat where you live??? I'd never heard of that. Did you have to take a test?? Or just buy it?
Gus
I do a little fishing. We have 2 stock tanks on our place that has bass, perch and catfish in them, and I have lots of other tanks on different peoples land that they let us go fishing in them. On the tanks mainly do bass fishing, and sometimes put trotlines across them for the cats. My uncle has waterfront lot at Lake Buchanan which we stay at alot during the summer. My cousins and I do alot of bass fishing there around the docks and we put out trotlines and juglines for the cats.
NiteRunner
I just had fish for supper! It came from a box not a pond though. Wouldn't mind going fishing some day, sounds like fun!

Or just buy it? Yep check out these laws here Andrea. http://www.fish.state.pa.us/boatrecap.htm Since I was born in 1985 I had to get a license to operated any boat over 25hp. For PWC my whole family had to get that same certificate I had in order to operated our jet-ski we won in a raffle. When we all went as a family to get the certificate they didn't have an online course option so I had to go sit through classes and then take a written test. Now a days you can just watch a video online and take the test online. Let me just say the test was not that hard most of it was common sense and the rest was memorizing some standard boating rules. wildside
I grew up fishing in northeastern Indiana with a cane pole and a worm for whatever bit my line - mainly blue gill and perch. My husband grew up here in Michigan and introduced me to some real fun fishing on the Great Lakes. We use downriggers on Lake Michigan, and it is a real hoot bringing in a fiesty Steelhead! I can honestly say that I love both styles of fishing.

dlriggins
I am not a woman but it was my mom who got me into fishing she still fishes more than I do and in a few years i will see if my daughter can outfish her Daddy... I think I'll be OK as long as she doesn't take too many lessons from grandma and the misses likes to fish once in a while
