dfol20
I am going to be planning an elk trip in the future and want to get a little bit better idea on cost. How much would a typical elk trip cost? What are some areas that I can cut cost? The cheeper I can make the trip the sooner I can go. I would really like to do a backcountry camping trip, I figure that would be less expensive and more fun. But I don't know if it would be wise being my first elk trip. So what do you spend on average on a trip?

Guest bonecollector34
We do em every year. Gas, tags, food, good boots and your off and hunting. I think alot of out of state hunters get it in their heads it will be super expensive, it can be but doesn't have to be. Elk hunts are challenging but not bad, no harder then a good mule deer hunt. Be in shape, have a good pack and carry survival gear. Fatty
