But when I moved from Nebraska to Missouri, I am having trouble finding private land. Luckily there is a ton of good public land to tide me over. But where to you all look? PAstringking Posted June 13, 2007 Report Share Posted June 13, 2007 i usually try to do some afternoon drives in late july and august to see if i can spot any deer in fields. when i find a field they frequent...i look for the woods that im guess they stay in. then i try to find who owns the land and ask for permission. In Ohio you can go to the county courthouse and ask to see the plat map. This map shows all the owners and their acreage. Missouri might have the same deal.
