need2hunt
I just received the following email... Dear customer, Your access to US bank account has been temporarily disabled due to multiple login errors. Protecting the security of your account and of the US bank network is our primary concern. Therefore, as a preventive measure, we have temporarily limited access to sensitive US bank account features. If you are the rightful holder of the account, please follow the link below and we will verify your identity. https://www.u sbank.com/Common/Verify.asp Thank you for your patience as we work together to protect your account. * Please do not respond to this email as your reply will not be received. Well first off I don't have a US Bank account and second the link takes you to... http://www.slugphils.org/image/USBank/USBank/index.html ...and somehow I think the marketing people at US Bank are smart enough not to have a website called slugphils LOL. The slugphils site is some guy in the Philipines, Micheal Balcos who is running the site "Slackware Linex Users Group, Philipines" Anyway I already contacted and forwarded the info on to the people that need it at US Bank but thought I'ld give you guys a heads up before someone accidently gives away his account passwords out to Micheal in the Philipines :D
NS whitetail
I get bogus emails that are suppose to be from RBC ( Royal Bank of Canada ) telling me to give them all my bank account #'s so they can verify everything. The emails do look very real with logos and all, but still --- I think --- are people in this world really that stupid to suck stuff like this in

buckee
I've been getting those things for the past few years. I think I've gotten them from every banking institution in US and Canada (supposedly) and even a few from the UK I still get them all the time and they are always from a different address. I also get every Nigerian scam type letter known to man, along with the international lottery scams. I must have won at the least, 20 different world lotteries in the last year alone, worth millions of dollars. All I have to do is give them my bank account number, and they will deposit it...LOL

wtnhunt
Pretty sickening what these scammers are doing. Thanks for the heads up Gary, dont have a US bank account either, and typically those types of messages get sent to the garbage without ever being looked at.
