nolanspawn
How old would you say this guy is. Incase you can tell that they are the same deer, notice the white stripe on his left ear. The first picture is this past December, then the second one is March and the rest are in May. Remember these are Texas deer, not as big as some of you northern guys big dogs. wtnhunt
Looking at the last pic there, I would have to say he is a mature deer. Around here that is what a 3.5 year old would look like.
Tominator
Head and nose on that top one looks like a button buck. Second one looks to be maybe 1.5. The other ones look to be 1 or 2.
Tom2008
Looks to be a 2 year old right now.
wtnhunt
The other ones look to be 1 or 2. Not sure these are all of the same deer. This is the one I posted my thoughts on Chris. Ohio is home of a larger subspecies of deer and maybe there they may see girth on a deer this size at 1 or 2, but around here they just dont get that big that early on. Think Texas deer body wise would probably be comparable to here. This deer in this pic is at least a 3 year old now in my opinion, and will be a 3.5 year old this hunting season. Look at the belly, then at the shoulders into the neck. Come fall and into the rut, he will have a huge swollen neck and will be very apparent that he is a mature buck. nolanspawn
Just remember, I mentioned these are all the same deer. The identifying mark is on his left ear he has a white stripe. And as wtnhunt said these are Texas deer, they dont get this big at 1 or 2, not even in many breeder pens.
