Dale Jr. Press Confrence tomorrow

Sounds like Junior could be going to the #5 Hendrick car. That is what is on Jayski and what Marty Smith has been saying on ESPNEWS.

That would be a pretty big move for Junior. The 5 car is a great ride and Junior has the maturity and talent to not wreck it every week. I wonder why Kyle Busch is on the outs (possibly before the end of they year) with Hendrick?

rumor is that ky. busch is going to DEI... but i guess its almost set in stone that Junior is going to the #5

I could see Kyle going to Ginn, which is almost a Hendrick car.

I'm still betting on Greg Biffle going to DEI with a NAPA car.

I hope we aren't getting ahead of ourselves again by thinking Junior is going somewhere that he isn't. At least we know it will be an announcement about where he will be driving next year.

If Jr. wants to win a Championship which he indeed does its the most logical place to go.

Everyone wanted to see him in a black #3 at RCR but down the road that may happen.

For now he will be at Hendricks trying to win races and I can possibly see Chad Knauss being his crew chief down the road. As much as I am NOT a Knauss fan he could make Jr. a Champion.

Jr. is not going to win with the Eury's as there is too much tension and dealing with family just does not work.

This was a curve ball indeed and man I can't wait to hear Nick's response to all this! :) LOL!!

Valkrie beat me to it. Since Hendrick had the #25 Bud car a few years ago, I wouldn't be surprised to see it again. However, I would be a little disappointed if Junior was in the 25, that car just seems cursed. The 5 would be a good fit. That car is bad fast every week and now there could be someone with some control behind the wheel.

Since I mentioned Kyle going to Ginn, here is an update from Jayski...

UPDATE 4: also heaing another scenerio: Jr will be in the #5, Kyle Busch to Ginn [#01] and Mark Martin will finish out 2007 in the #5. No word on who would be in the #8....if this happens.(6-13-2007)

Although I don't like Kyle Busch at all, I have a hard time believing that Hendrick would just drop him like a rock after a couple years. Especially since he can win. They'd be giving up a few years of a relationship (including Busch Series) just for Dale Jr. I think this move has a plan for Kyle Busch also, that is why I think he'll be headed to Ginn. He could go to DEI, but I doubt it.

We'll see what happens.I really thought(and hoped) that Jr. would go to Gibbs and team up with Stewart, but it doesn't look like that will happen.

I sure hope your wrong about Kyle going to Gibbs Chrud,I would hate to see that.

Looks like all my #8 stuff is going in a box or a yard sale.

I'm trying to decide if your being serious or not! While Kyle is clearly a talented driver, he is an immature Bonehead! Climbing out of his wrecked car at Texas and leaving the track unannounced is inexcusable in my opinion and probably the last nail in his coffin as far as Rick Hendrick is concerned. My understanding is Junior was more than impressed with that legendary Hendrick horsepower when he took over the 5 car after Bonehead took his toys and went home at Texas. The thought of having as talented and MATURE a driver as Junior joining the Hendrick stable makes this HMS fan very happy! GOOD RIDDANCE to Bonehead! ;):)

Ginn, not Gibbs.;) Since Ginn is sort of a satellite operation of Hendrick, I just think they've got it worked out so they can keep Kyle fairly close.

Ohhhh,I got you.LOL. I just thought you hit the N instead of the B...I do that on accident sometimes.LOL.He can go there then and tear their stuff up for a while.I could see that happening for a while, but not sure what Gomer Kyle would thank of that switch to a somewhat lesser team.
