I have the 7:30 - 9:00 Math B-1 final then from 12:30 - 3:30 I have my Global History Regents. I hope I do good on the Math.. I've been struggling in math the past two months or so.. I hope there isn't alot on there from the last two months worth of work. The Global Reg. should be easy. It's 50 multiple choice and then two essays. Social Studies has always been my subject so I should do great. I'll check back in here at 9:30 or so.. Gotta come home for a few hours before my second test. Wish me luck!!! But now I have to focus on the Global Regents that is in a few hours. I think it'll be pretty easy but there are two essays to write. One is a thematic essay and the other is DBQ ( document based question ) essay. And there are 50 multiple choice questions which are always easy. Squirrelhunter91 Posted June 13, 2007 Author Report Share Posted June 13, 2007 Ok.. I'm back now.. I finished in an hour and forty minutes.. The multiple choice was really easy. I think I got 50 out of 50. Then the two essays were super easy, they just took alot of time to write. The thematic essay had to do with government policies that have been implemented in order to produce some type of economic reform. I wrote about Stalin's five year plans in the Soviet Union. The DBQ essay was about manorialism in the Middle Ages, mercantilism during the Age of Exploration and Communism after WWII. You had to pick two of them and write about them using the documents provided prior to writing the essay. I picked manorialism and mercantilism. For manorialism I focused on feudalism and for mercantilism, I used Spain as an example with the Columbian Exchange/Atlantic Slave Trade. It worked out well. The kids are all done with regular classes but they come in just for testing or a Regents Exam. Me, I get the fun job of proctoring these tests..ugh. I have to proctor my last test on Monday and then my last day is June 22nd. We go back on Aug. 30th but we do not start teaching till after Labor Day on Sept. 4th.
