Done pretty well this year despite little rain.

Caught a 14 pound channel cat and my husband caught a 40 pound flathead in the same weekend. Lots of smaller cats too.

Forget the monsters. Those small ones are the ones to eat!

well when im fishing ponds i definately go for the smaller ones to take home, but the river behind my house isnt the cleanest your only suppose to have one serving of catfish a month out of it cause of the really high merc levels, so i dont eat the cats outa there, wish i did, i would have a whole freezer full of them

We have been doing pretty good so far this year. We live in southern Indiana and are in a serious drought so the waters are down pretty far and the cats are hiding in the deeper water in the center of the river. Only place with current and the barge traffic is to busy to try and fish it good. If you look at my thread called " Good Memorial Weekend " you will see a few of the ones we caught that weekend. Has anyone seen the gut on that fish of Gator's? That thing was a fat pig. Wish i could have him on the end of my pole.

I've never catfished much until this year. Both my Grandads stocked their ponds a year and a half ago, and there now .75 lb to 1.5 lbs for the most part. I've got 4 small ponds with em, and a new 2 acre pond with some in it. It's been alot of fun for the kids, but i'm just not much into it. I'd rather just stick to the bass.
