Bachflock
My oldest will be attending college in Pennsicola starting in the fall. I'll be driving down to pick her up at some point in the spring - usually first week of May. I'm fishing for info on possibly trying to work in an Osceola hunt. I realize that Osceolas would be a few hours drive south of Pennsicola. Any info to get me pointed in the right direction would be helpful. Thanks... Guest gobblingghost
To hunt the Osceola you have tow choices. First is private land and grab your wallet it can cost a pile. Second choice is WMA the best ones are draw so check the FL website for the applications and deadlines. PS in some cases you can pay a trespass fee to hunt ranches. HuntnMa
you can put in for the quota turkey hunts in June... Go to MYFWC.COM, then go to the hunting section.....you should be able to get alot of your info. there. If you dont get drawn, dont worry, they have w.m.a.s that are permit only the first 9 days, after that it's first come , first served.....green swamp, 3 lakes , bullcreek are just a couple.....3 lakes have a real good bird population. Guest ital_70
Can give ya some info... I can help ya with areas on 3lakes and bull creeks, I used to live down there and have taken birds on both areas... I just hunted there this past spring with my son and G-friend... We heard plenty of birds and came close but no bird and could only hunt a few days due to the move.. I will warn you about these w.m.a.s the people for the most part have NO sportsmanship, and are down right iggnorantly rude, Ya goota get up early to get to a spot and they will still walk over the top of you with hopes of gettin at a bird.... If your still intrested i can mark places on a map that you will hear birds,, The season in central fla typically runs from the 3rd week of march to the 3rd week of april.. the early part is usually best... Good Luck..
