Jeramie
This weather is horrible! We are flooding everywhere. There wasn't a real chance in the forecast, so it rained all night. The lightning was like a strobe light all night and it dumped buckets all night. It is suppose to be moving out right now but I have no idea how many inches we received last night. Regardless, we dont need any more right now. The local lake is reporting 10' above normal levels. Thats nothing compared to others that can not dump water out as quickly. Highways and city streets were shut down everywhere. There simply isn't anywhere for it to go. This weekend summer is suppose to hit and its going to get HOT, muggy, and crazy humid. I guess we will see but for now Oklahoma us under water....
wtnhunt
Sorry to hear that Jeramie, used to rain all the time here this time of year, but now seems to be far and few between any precip. Seems to be extremes one way or the other anymore in a wide range of places. Last summer here we went into a drought, have been behind normal rainfall totals pretty well ever since. At this point we are a little over a foot behind for the past 10 weeks, my pastures are looking terrible.
Griz
Yep...We did to Jeramie. It's like we haven't enough rain already. Things here were already flooded and with the rain we got lastnight and today. Man this place is bad... The main Creek here which is Boogy Creek is about 1 foot from the top from coming out. Another Creek (Deer Creek) is over flowing. The place looks like a lake... I haven't seen it do this in several years...
Rhino
Thanks for sharing a little of that rain anyway guys. We got about 1/2" yesterday afternoon down here. That's the 1st rain we've had since the end of the 1st week of May.
Shaun_300
It has been hot and muggy here for weeks. Quite a bit of rain too. Last night a cold front finally came in, caused a big storm and cooled things off. It was gorgeous here today, low 70s, sunny and no humidity! Looks like it'll be nice sleeping weather in the evenings too and nice temps for the next few days. A little rain but as long as it's not hot I could care less. Jeramie
Its suppose to start drying up today.... So of course, rain in the forecast. Scattered showers which thus far has translated into at least 1.5"-3" at a time.... ksdeerhunter03 said: Jeramie, I have been gathering all the deer, quail, turkeys, phesants, etc... 2x2 for my ark I am building!!!
