Squirrelhunter91
I was notified by email of this petition because I signed up for updates on petitions that threaten sportsmen's rights when I signed the petition on this site for HR-1022. Here is a petition I just signed: http://www.thepetitionsite.com/takeaction/796419168 It has to do with making Alaska's Bristol Bay one of the largest copper & gold mines in North America. This is a really bad idea because Bristol Bay is home to some of the best wild salmon and rainbow trout runs. Creating this mine would destroy the local economy. Fishermen would lose their jobs and it would most importantly destroy the environment. Please sign.
Texan_Til_I_Die
Actually the mine would probably be a boom to the local economy, although the fish might not like it much.
Nut
Actually the mine would probably be a boom to the local economy, although the fish might not like it much. Most of the new jobs will not go to locals unless they are qualified...Mining companies usually bring in people already working for them. The fishermen most likely will have to go somewhere else to do their chosen profession. Oh well what is a way of life when there is money to be made.
