dogdoc
Has anyone else tried this new browser by Apple? I just downloaded and it is twice as fast as Internet Explorer. Takes a little while to get used to the new format but it blows away IE in speed. Free download.
buckee
Personally, I think that's been half the problem with slowness in here. I've been reading up on IE7, and there are a lot of folks complaining about it being slow compared to IE6.

need2hunt
I run Safari on my computer, not sure if I have the latest version but I do know I haven't been having an issue with speed on this forum.
wtnhunt
Got a link Todd? Running ie7 here, but guess since I have switched to dsl fairly recently, everything seems fast.
DSGB
I'm running IE7 and haven't noticed any difference.
Master_Chief
I have been Windows free and using a Mac for quite sometime. Really enjoy the freedom. You can get Safari here: http://www.apple.com/safari/
buckee
When you download something like this, does it just override IE7, or do you have to get rid of IE7 somehow from your computer ?
wtnhunt
When you download something like this, does it just override IE7, or do you have to get rid of IE7 somehow from your computer ? Yeah, was wondering the same thing. Just went to the link there a minute ago and considered downloading it, but am a little concerned about what it might do as far as any potential for corrupting anything. Had two browsers on the old compaq(netscape communicator and ie), and could just pick which one from the desktop am assuming it would be the same way with this? Had my finger on the button to download, hesitated, and then thought twice about it. I've never had two different Browsers, so I have no idea what to expect. Master_Chief
You won't have a problem with 2 different browsers. I have had up to 4 on a machine at 1 time. You can choose a default at any time you want.
buckee
Thanks Chief. I really want to try this thing. If it speeds things up, even by 1/2, it will be worth it.
dogdoc
you can choose whatever browser you want. I've been running with it now for 2 days with no problems.

buckee
Safari Spell Check http://8help.osu.edu/2143.html#safari All you have to do by the way, is highlight over a textarea field and go to “Edit > Spelling > Check Spelling as You Type”, and from now on when you start typing it will automatically check your spelling just like Firefox! I just thought I would share that little tidbit with you.

I can copy the URL with the "img" tags. You can also right click on the pic and copy the pics address. I never new you could just copy and paste a pic. buckee
Yep, you could just copy and paste picture's with IE7. I downloaded firefox just now to give it a try. It's definitely faster than IE7, and easy to get used to, because it looks similar to IE. Firefox doesn't just copy and paste pictures either, but it's not bad. VermontHunter
I tried both the Firefox and the Apple browsers... didn't like the feel of either and they both lacked the features I use the most... JMO tho... I'll stick with IE6 Thank-You very much ..
