NYBowhunter71
There have been several articles in the newspapers and on the news recently, that the deer population is certain areas out here on long Island have gotten too large. Many of the crops from the farms and people's personal gardens are being eaten by the deer. It is almost to the point where they are considering nuisance licensing for deer. I was considering either putting up flyers or taking an ad out in the local paper to hunt deer on their land. I would not charge, just request permission to hunt their property, if big enough. This way I get new areas to hunt, and they can get rid of some of the deer around their property. I can almost get an unlimited number of doe tags, and donate the venison to local shelters. Has anyone tried this? I am looking for feedback, both positive and negative before I decide.
dfol20
I have thought about doing that around here. Give it a try. The worst that could happen would be no responses. I live in KC, and am pretty sure I wouldn't get any responses, because I figure all the land around the city is spoken for. There are a lot of hunters around here.
