Believe 3 Dodgers made it. Russell Martin, Brad Penny and Takashi Saito.

Kevin, who's Russell Martin?

The picks were pretty good this year, there were only two instances of a player's popularity getting him into the starting lineup, Pudge and Jeter on the AL team. Victor Martinez deserves the start, he's been the MVP the Tribe so far this year. Orlando Cabrera should be starting...or at least on the team.:o

I'd give C.C. the edge there Eric. Thin edge, but that guy has been pretty dominant this year.

Only one that raised my eyebrow was Bonds.

No starters for the Tribe and 5 for the Tigers? That's a small crime.

Only 3 starters for the tigers :p. like muggs said, Pudge got the start on the popularity votes. but Polanco and ordonez are having pretty good years and deserve the start. Velander and Guillen getting picked as reserves...Verlander having a great year...and Guillen IMO is one of the best SS in the game...would have liked to see bonderman in there also.

Who's leading the AL Central

how many starters from that team??????????????

by a WHOPPING 1-1/2 games?? and the lead has gone back and forth a few times this year

The fans don't necessarily pick the best players IMHO.

if you can find an outfielder with better numbers than ordonez , or a second baseman better than polanco i'd like to see it.

Velander has good enough numbers to be there and with the no hitter i think that boosted him up a bit..

Pudge, already said he is there on the popularity vote

Guillen...again...not to many better than him, and probably be starting if Jeter didn't get the popularity vote

Curtis Granderson could have made it as well...having a great year 22 doubles, 14 triples, hitting .289, 11hrs...but, not many people know who he is, along with him being left off of the ballot because of sheffield being put on there could ha

All the Tigers deserved to be there, with the exception of Pudge.

not playing BAD, but doesn't have the numbers to deserve to be there. there are few people always left off that should be there, but mostly it is just a popularity contest (pretty much with all proffessional all-star games) but i do like how this game has some meaning with the winner having home field advantage in the WS
