NS whitetail
At midnight tonight, we will be heading out on the ocean for the fishing grounds 100 miles off to make our first longline trip of the summer. We will be fishing for haddock and cod. There will be no land insight until Friday morning when we get back to port. Hope the weather stays nice and the fish are plenty. Don't miss me too bad

buckee
May God go with you Lewis. We used to troll 50 miles off shore, and could barely make out the island sometimes. It gets lonely out there..eh Fill the boat to the scuppers my friend;)

NS whitetail
made it home today , had a pretty good trip ( around 20,000 pounds ) -- maybe heading back out Sunday night for another 4 days of the Atlantic
buckee
How are the prices this year Lewis? Sounds like a pretty good haul, if the prices are good.
NS whitetail
How are the prices this year Lewis? Sounds like a pretty good haul, if the prices are good. large cod are $1.80 per pound , as far as haddock -- the fish buyer ships them over to the USA and we have to wait to get the price -- hoping it's $1.50 per lb or better
buckee
That's not too bad. A few more trips like that, and you're going to pull off a good year. ;)
