Tominator
So the "fans" voted Bonds in as a starter. How do we know that for sure? Do you trust the Selig administration? I would not put it past his people, or him to fudge the numbers in a conspiracy. Just thinking out loud.
buckbuster11
I dont trust that moron for anything, but seeing as how this game is in San Fran I am sure there was a major push by the fans there to vote over and over and over again to get him in. The same thing happened last year here when the game was in Pittsburgh. There was a huge push to get a Pirate starter, and Jason Bay got in as a starter...got in by alot too. muggs
I highly doubt the fans would vote him in (even though I thought he deserves it this season, to be honest) because the general concensus is that people hate this guy. So I think your Oliver Stone like conspiracy theory is a good one Chris.
toddyboman
Bonds should not be a starter. Heck he doesn't even start every day for the giants. I would agree or entertain the idea that Selig and staff had a hand in this. But who knows..... toddyboman
I just heard on the radio that Bonds overcame 119,000 some odd votes in the last 2 days to beat Sorianto by 3,000 votes. hhhhmmmmm......

buckbuster11
No way dudes, San Francisco loves Bonds, the rest of the country doesn't mean jack. Trust me. How many people do you think outside of Pittsburgh voted for Jason Bay last year? I'm just saying I saw this happen before my own eyes last year. It's possible. Just think, you can vote up to 50 times right? If only 1,000 people do that which is a pretty low number, thats 50,000 votes. If 5,000 people do that, you are looking at a quarter of a million votes. Not out of the realm of possibilities at all. Not to mention if you use a different email address you can vote 50 more times. Heck, I bet I voted 150 times last year just to help Bay get in. Guest Finn
Selig was a very popular owner but is way over his head as "interim" commish!

ruttinbuc
It is all a scam...all of it. Put it back to the players and coaches to pick their peers for the All Star game.
AdvantageTimberLou
Best thing Barry could do for the game is to get one home run away from Aaron's record and retire!
