Swamphunter
We just bought a nice 42" plasma TV to replace the old 20 year old crapper we had. What I cannot get used to is the skinny women that I used to love to watch...now look fat. You know how it stretches the picture a bit....I LOVE the TV, but the wider images throw me off a bit. Will I ever overcome this, or should I email these women and tell them they need to diet a bit more?
BowtechTurkeyHunter
sure you just have to over come the aspect ratio you can switch the ratio on your tv .... or you can email the women and try and get them to loose a few more lbs but that would be at your own risk =) Steve
ny_gun
I bought a 46" Sony LCD last November and just could not get used to the picture being streched. I ended up setting the TV back to 4:3 ratio for regular TV and 16:9 for DVDs and widescreen HD TV.
Strut10
Aspect ratio....................yep. Go to a 4:3 setting for non-HD and all your old girlfriends will look like they used to.
Mountaineer
As much as it sucks watching things in 4:3 on that TV, it's what you'll have to do with regular broadcasts. Just be careful with burn-in, it's still a problem with plasma's no matter how much TV salesmen tell you it's not, like myself lol. If you don't mind me asking, what brand is it and where did you buy it? Hopefully at Sears =P
