gowest
I am wondering about the arrow flight of the 2 blade versus 3 blade Rage slip cam broadhead. From the pictures in the advertisement, the three blade (when collapsed) looks like it has an offset or a twist. I love the slip cam concept, but I am wondering if I used the three blade that the arrow would fight itself to be steered by the broadhead or the vanes? My setup: I shoot an SQ2 screwed right down to the limb bolts (~72#) with a 28.25" Maxima 350, with 2" Blazers with a 2 degree offset - a string loop and Scott Release. Thanks for any feedback. robk
there shouldn't be any problem with flight of the arrow when you shoot the 3 blade. i have shot mechanicals with blades that opened up front and i never had a problem. the blades won't affect the flight the design will stop that problem and it will actually be like shooting your field tips. the snypers are similar but use a band to hold the blades and aren't self locking as the rage heads are and i have shot them for a while and fromt he package to the target they hit where you aim. if your worried about flight and if the head will cause planning don't worry about it at all rob k your set up is fine however you want to make it work
christsavedme
I have been shooting the Rocky Mountain Snypers for about 3 years now and there isn't alot of difference in them and the Rage's! I am actually looking at going to the two blade rage this year. Just like them better than the three! Personal preference!

hutchies
From all the guys I know that shot the grim reapers last year they said they will be shooting a new broadhead this year. The razortip expandables are trash....... One guy even had all 3 blades sheer off on a doe and I'm not talking a 200 lber. Were talking 100 probably. Muzzy61
Thanks Hutchies! I may just stick with my Muzzys. They have worked for me, just had the urge to try something different.
Guest wildotter
From all the guys I know that shot the grim reapers last year they said they will be shooting a new broadhead this year. The razortip expandables are trash....... One guy even had all 3 blades sheer off on a doe and I'm not talking a 200 lber. Were talking 100 probably. I used the 2-blade Rage BH's during the '06-'07 season and killed two deer with them. The hole they left was unbelievable!!! BUT!!!... I had two of them break when shooting into a Redhead brand layered foam target. In one instance only the blades broke off, but in the other instance the ferrule snapped down inside the shaft of my arrow (using Easton Axis 400's with H.I.T. Also, I noticed the cut-on-contact blade on tip of the head was very fragile, and was rendered useless (beyond resharpening) after both kill shots on the 2 deer, and the blades were either broken or bent. Not shooting into rocky ground either. Forest floor with leaves and such. This feature made them more like a $35 set of 3 disposable broadheads...use once and toss them out. Like I said, they cut great, but other than that, I can't justify spending the money for them again. I did like the design of the slip-cam, so I will be trying the Tekan II this year. I have heard good personal testimonies from them so far.
Michiganbowhunter_SQ2
have yet to shoot them at a deer, but shot the Rages(3 blades) at my morrell yellow jacket target, flew god, but were tough to take out of the target and bent a blade. other than that, they flew great.... Can canone give their opion on the Rage vs Grim Reaper broadheads. i 'm thinking of swithching from fixed and these two seem the best. Just not certian which one to try. see above for the rages...for the grim reapers...i have also never shot them at an animal, but know several people who have taken deer with them, none have had a deer go farther than 80-90 yards. shotting in the target i can tell you they flew great, open up right, and from what i have seen others do, leave good blood trails. i have had mine for, going on 3 years or so, and have shot them into my yellow jackets, and deer target several dozens of times, other than needing sharpening, they are in perfect condition. if i had to choose between the 2, it'd be pretty close, but i think i would pick the grim reapers, just because of the fact that i have seen what they could do...other than that, both great heads.
