bigmoss Posted July 6, 2007 Report Share Posted July 6, 2007 I own about 9 cuddes and until now have been lucky with no issues. I have also been reading for about a year on many different forums the horror stories people say they have had with cudde when having issues with their cams. I opened 2 excite camera a few weeks ago to find them not working right, they would hardly trigger at all and when they did would not write the picture to the flash card 40% of the time. I phoned cudde and they asked me to try a few things which I did and still no go. They told me to ship the cameras back and gave me an RMA number with no fuss or muss. They received both cams on a Wed and had the boards replaced and software updated and back out to me on the Fri. I tried the cameras yesterday and they trigger smokin fast now and everything gets written to the card. This is my first time having to deal with Cudde but it was 100% positive, hopefully they have got the message from their customers and this is the sign of things to come. Maybe so, but what about all the customers they had, that had to pay for problems to be fixed that cudde did not recognize as being their fault on brand new cameras? bigmoss Posted July 7, 2007 Author Report Share Posted July 7, 2007 Hey WT I hear ya on that one, I dont know why Cudde did that, I even brought that up to them on the phone and made a comment to them saying I hope my camera returns would not be like all the stories I have read in diff forums, their responce was of course dont believe everything you read and that people only post the negative and never the positive. They claimed the negative posts on the internet were not even 5% of the cams sold and happy customers. If that is the case they must have one heck of allot of cameras out there. Definetly not the answer I would have given but hopefully they do right by people even the past ones and try and regain customer confidence. That is soooo not TRUE. Taking a look just into the hunting equipment room here alone would quickly dispel that. Over the years there have been quite a few posts on positive customer service or positive reviews on equipment there. Have even posted a few of those myself. Think word of mouth experiences in general are what they are and I really dont hardly think that is limited just to here at these forums. Sure bad word of mouth gets more attention most often, there seems to be no shortage of whiners in the world who seem to have nothing ever good to say, and they tend to run with anything bad they can and let everyone they can know just how bad it is, sometimes possibly even exaggerating the truth. Seems at times there are even some who in my opinion almost appear to be looking for something to cry about, however that does not always overshadow the positives that you do hear, and I do hear good reviews on everything from hunting gear to seed for foodplots to services and products in general. This very thread in fact is about what the poster is calling a good experience, is it not? Now it is just my opinion, but think in cuddes response to bigmoss, they made a kind of generalized statement to try to divert the attention away from what they did not want to discuss. Good bad however you want to take it, reviewing what many others have written, there have been enough who have spoken up about cudde and maybe it is that they are currently trying to fix their CR problems, but there is no denying that they were less than desirable on how they handled some of their customer relations in the past. If in fact they have turned over a new leaf so to speak, that is good for them and the consumers who purchase their products.
