SuperMn106
Ok boys, I am brave enough to post my golf swing up here for you guys to laugh at. The first one was on a par 3 with an 8 iron. The ball wound up about 30 ft right of the green. This one I was 190 yards out and hit a 3/4 3 wood and was about 40 ft right of the green. I thought it would be kinda neat to see each others swings. This was the first time I have ever seen my swing.
Guest Finn
Really looks pretty good. I'd recommend making a turn instead of shifting your body weight back. Try keep your head in the same spot, not moving back 2-3 inches. Check your first clip and look where your head starts in relation to the trees behind you and how it shifts back several inches. I don't know how to post one of my swing....good idea, Mike
Tominator
I've certainly seen worse. Like Craig, I also noticed the hips moving quite a bit.
MCH
I'm definitely not one to critique swings. I wouldn't know a good one if you hit me upside the head with it. Looks good to me. Watched an episode of Personal Lessons this morning and it had a 14 handicapper on it with one of the most screwed up swings I've ever seen. Faxon had him close his eyes and hit a drive and he made the same swing and hit it right where his first drive went! If it works and its repeatable.......its a good swing. muggs
Not bad at all. 3 minor things stuck out to me. I'd suggest bending your needs a little more, keeping your left arm straight (looks like you're bending your elbow especially at the top of your backswing), and moving the ball more towards the middle of your stance- especially when you're hitting irons like you are in the top video. SuperMn106
Thanks for the tips everyone. I will put them to use next time out.
Shaun_300
Great tips, one other thing I noticed, I believe you're playing the ball a little too far forward in both shots. I usually play an 8 iron right in the middle of my stance, even a little behind it. When I hit driver or 3 wood the ball is about a foot-width behind my front foot. Nice shots though, I'll probably head to the range either tomorrow or Thursday, I'll get my brother to take a couple videos of my swing with a couple different clubs. buckbuster11
It's a pretty nice swing. The one thing I noticed in the first clip was your hands being way out in front of club face on your downswing. That would probably explain the hook to the right. I'm guessing you need to fire through more with the right hand. Same thing in the second clip. Notice how it looks like you are swinging to hit the ball and thats it. You should be accelerating through it. Follow through.
