hangunnr
Took a little road trip today and met up with Paul Dustin the owner of Coyote Guns out in Columbia City, Indiana. He had for me one of his custom Encore barrels. This is an 18" heavy taper, chambered in 458 Win Mag. I'm gonna have to open the barrel channel up in a rifle length forearm to balance it out a little better but for now it's time to start shootin.... Ya'll can color me platinum..... hangunnr
Strut10
Definitely a Platinum OTPG poster child, right there. Better keep the SCOPERs away from ledges and sharp objects after they get a look at that bad boy.

JJL
That's VERY NICE...................here's a little advice for you......don't wear shorts when you shoot sitting down.
hangunnr
Didn't happen to have the right powder on hand for the heavyweight slugs so I put a few together using the barrel makers suggested load of a 300gr Remington HP that has been clocked at 2500fps out of this barrel. Might just be a decent light load for those pesky 100lb whitetail we have around here. hangunnr
huntinguide
im thinkin about gettin mine in 45-
hangunnr
The 45-70 works very well out of handgun length barrels. There is a ton of loading data available. I would bet the Leverevolution ammo offered by Hornady would also work very well out of a short barrel. hangunnr
WNY_Whitetailer
That thing just looks mean...Love the back in black (or blued) look...Kudos. I am jealous...
