Digital trail cam

I know this is a stretch and I feel really strange asking, but, does anyone have a digital trail cam they would like to donate or sell cheap? Real cheap? I know nothing about them but I have been wondering what travels on a trail back behind our house and I thought it would be cool to get one and find out. You all know I am disabled and draw Social Security disability so funds are somewhat tight. No, I ain't poor so don't assume I need a funds for Norm sale. Like I said, I know nothing about them but I am going to start researching them. I did look at one site where someone built his own for $245 !!! I could not believe it!!! If it cost that much to build your own, I am almost afraid to see what they DO cost!!! The only one I have heard about is the (sp) cuddie back, or pack? Said something about not missing shots or something. I saw it on the Outdoor Channel one day. Anyway, please be kind with your replies and if you can't say anything nice, just don't say it.

If you can't, then don't and all is fine...LOL

Thanks folks

You know all about me anyway, most of you anyway

wildview stealth digital at walmart for 50$, only has 0.3 mega pixels and no time and date stamp but it will take pics of what walks by it. Add a little more money and you can get the 2.0 mp with time and date stamp. If you just want to see what is there then get the cheap wildview.

Norm, the reviews on the new moultrie cams look pretty good, that might be a good option for you. Check out the review here on the moultrie d-40 http://www.chasingame.com/. Looks like the trigger coming off sleep mode having a slight delay is about the only issue, but 2 seconds for a delay there is not really that big of a deal, that really is common.

Homebrew cams are still a better way to go in my opinion though if you are able to build them, if you wanted to go that route and want to get the parts, I would be happy to put one together for you or help you out. The camera mod is not hard, but seems to be what most newbies to homebrews are afraid to do. With the pix le kit, you can build a good camera for around $150 if you are patient on the cameras. Last sony p41 I bought, I got for $65 shipped, but I spent some time waiting and happened to be watching at just the right time.

Hope

I hope some day just to be able to go hunting again. I have not been since I got hurt. Maybe this year. I figure my "Quest" has changed to just being able to go again. Funny how things change, huh? LOL

Thanks for the info too. I can save up for these guys now. I know I can do that soon enough! Thumbs up!!
