VermontHunter
It was so much fun. We otto do it again this yr. Or next. I haven't yet recovered from Steve B.'s driving ... Those passes scared the living daylights out of me ... 14,000 + feet straight down and NO parachute in sight... I have to agree tho Charlie ,, it was and absolute great time with great people.. And this helps too .. texastrophies
I already have a hunt scheduled for elk in Co. this year, but I would def. be up to "give it a shot" next year.
silvertip_co
I sorta have plans this yr too for unit 55 but nothing solid. It would be cool to get a gang together for 2008. Maybe Steve B and Luke and Steve K and Scott Hughes could make it again also.

silvertip_co
What was the "Great Realtree Colorado Elk Hunt"? Did a bunch of ya get together for a hunt? About a dozen of us got together in unit 55 2nd rifle and had a great snowy and muddy time. 1 elk bull out of 12 hunters, thats 10% success which aint too bad. Them two PA boys was somethin comin off Cottonwood Pass at midnight in a snowstorm with no camper trailer brakes. They sure qualify to be 'Coloruffians'. okiedog
Gator and I were talking about the elk hunt the other day. If it happens again, count me in. I can kick myself in the rear for not making the one last year.

silvertip_co
It would be easy to do it in 2008. We just decide to do it all again then show up. I'll commit to it right now.
Guest Andrea
Oh man, if my house is finished by then I definitely wanna go. I really really hate that I didn't get to go last year. Maybe it was a blessing. After hearing the nightmarish tales of the "drive up there and back" I would have been walking, instead of pulling our camper up there like we intended! So if we go next year. we will NOT be towing our camper with us.

buckee
...there may still be a box trailer setting in Taylor Park thats available I think Steve sold or gave that to a guy who was hunting up there. Nice little trailer too, she was I don't think I'll be making it in 2008. Wish I could, but life is like that sometimes.
silvertip_co
...them trailer pics bring a nostalgic tear to my eye. We GOTTA do it again in 2008. Someone call Scott Hughes.
VermontHunter
HECK,, the way Steve B. was towing that thing along ,,, I think he could have made it to camp with NO wheel Hub assembly at all ... Yep, he gave the thing away,, right there on the mountian side ... Actually Charlie, I think 2008 just might be an Antelope hunt in Wyoming with my buddy Steve B. ,,, This might be a prime apportunity for a get together there as well .. Scott loves Antolope meat .. But that decission would be Steve's of course...

silvertip_co
I emailed Scott Hughes at Realtree Corp., he said to keep him posted on our 2008 plans. I just want to take ONE world record speedgoat at 600yrds. Steve we need to patent your wonderful new calls so I can stop buying lottery tickets and we can all hunt 24/7/365. buckee
I just want to take ONE world record speedgoat at 600yrds. ONE at 30 yrds or closer would be pretty cool with a bow . I'd be happy with that.
VermontHunter
Mine has to be NO LESS than P&Y quality or Steve B. will kick my rear all the way back to the ant hills of Vermont .. :D But yeah 30 yrds. or less would be perfect for the bow .. What did you say that was Steve B. 16" or more tall ,I forget how wide the Paddles needed to be and OH YEAH Ivory Tips .. This one should already be grown before I get there.. :D Any way this pans out I can't wait to hook back up with steve B. and the gang ,,
