bfletch7441
Does anybody have any experience with this pocket pistol? My father-in-law bought 4 of them at least 20 years ago. One for him, one for his wife, one for his mother, and one for his father. His father passed away 12 years ago, and J.E. thought his pistol had been lost or stolen over the years. While moving some furniture over the weekend, his dad's pistol fell out from behind a drawer. No telling how long it had been there, and it was still loaded. Well, when we went up to visit last night, J.E. gave me his dad's pistol. Being given the pistol of my wife's grandpa, by my wife's dad is pretty cool to me, so I'm of course keeping it, but my question is: Is it a very well made piece? Is it reliable to carry at times, or should it be put away and left for nostalgia's sake? Here is one just like it: http://www.littlegun.be/arme%20americaine/a%20bauer%20gb.htm I shot it last night, and it operated well. I was really surprised at how loud it was. J.E. doesn't think there was more than 50 rounds put through it over the years. His dad didn't shoot, just carried this with him to and from their store. Thanks up front! johnf
The 25 is a very underpowerd round. Sounds like a very nice piece to keep around as a keepsake, but I wouldn't consider it a viable CC gun.

bfletch7441
I've got a Springfield V10 compact .45 for my CCW, but can't always have it with me. More concerned about reliability than the firepower on this little gun. I figure that it's better than nothing when the .45 has to be left at the house. I'd never heard of Bauer, and couldn't find much on the web about them. Ben

Shooting every now and then too! But I would not use this as a carry piece, just use it as a fun gun!
Flintlock1776
I have that and a small .22 I use the .22 with shot as a snake gun. Nice plinkers for messing around. Not for anything beyond that of course, Fun to have, easy to shoot
