They pick in us "Scopers" for drinking cocoa and shooting smaller cals yet they run around playing with monkeys in pink shirts and "Compensating" with fire power... Maybe they didnt get enough hugs as a kid and they now have something prove. Now I ask you, which organization doesn't seem "Quite Right?" VIVA SCOPE! That Monkee freak is a heck of a shot with some heavy artillary ,,, He can wear any color shirt he wants ... :D:D Heck, if you want to gamble with that cocoa mouthwash,, that's up to you .. :D I was surfing earlier and ran across a dictionary. I found the following definition, "Magnumtitus", Latin: mygnsbgrthanyrs : "A condition often effecting those prone to playing with monkeys. Often referred to as "The compensation disease." Not to be confused with but directly related to mid life crises, hair pieces, cute secretaries, and little red sports cars. Symptoms may include, detached retina, bruised shoulders, misalignment of vertebrae, and lack of hearing. Most if not all symptoms can be reversed but only if the infected is willing to admit that no gun can kill an animal "Deader" as in, "I used my 300wsm and my deer is deader than yours!" For those interested, DR Phill is having a special on Magnumtitus next week. Its an intervention show. I believe its called, "The muzzle break, the pad, and those who love monkeys." If any of you OPTG members need the exact date of the show let me know. Ill gladly do what I can to find it...... Anything to help those with a problem. VermontHunter
Not to wander too far away from the main topic, but I have a newbie question. I get the OTPG thing, but what does SCOPE stand for? Well now there's a valid question,, and here's the answer from our elustrious founder as to the meaning of SCOPE... SCOPE is an anacronym representing the anti-OTPG. I think it stands for Scaredy Cats Overcome by Power Envy.

buckee
Not to wander too far away from the main topic, but I have a newbie question. I get the OTPG thing, but what does SCOPE stand for? Don't let these guys rattle ya. The OTPG (Off The Porch Gang) is little more than a bunch of guys with big guns, trying to have some good clean fun (farce). There is nothing serious about this Gang of little men with big guns, accept for the fact they don't like cocoa (or at least, won't admit they do) SCOPE is an acronym representing the anti-OTPG. I think it stands for Scaredy Cats Overcome by Power Envy. Actually it stands for that expensive gizmo that the OTPG has to strap on their big guns, to get them those super long shots at poor unsuspecting game, so they can brag to all there friends about the long shot they made. It helps their ego, because they have such low self esteem. They usually shoot over the backs of anything close and personal, but we won't go there. I've never owned a scope, so I guess I'm anti-OTPG ..LOL These guys can't really hunt either, that's why they need the "Big" guns. They couldn't get close to an animal if they wanted to. This is all in fun by the way, for all you Newbies. So try not to take the OTPG too seriously. I just warmed up some milk by the way, and if anyone wants a nice hot cup of cocoa, we could go out on the porch and drink it. I have earmuffs out there to block the sounds of them OTPG guys shooting their big guns, at who knows what.
