MCH
I'm betting on him opting out of his contract this winter and being signed by the Angels. The only chance the Dodgers have is if Steinbrenner and Arod agree to a trade.
muggs
I think the Dodgers have a real chance at him Kev, but I could see the Angels too.
toddyboman
Oh but according to him NY is a great place to play and he has had a great time playing there. So if its so great he will probably just stay. At least thats what he said lastnight in his interview.

CrAzYCoYoTe
The answer is simple A-Rod will land on top.
Tominator
The answer is simple A-Rod will land on top. That was profound.
toddyboman
Heard the Yankees where going to try and get him signed before the end of the season. But if they do not reach a deal with him now when he opts out they will not enter the bidding war.... So he is going to get a TON of money :(
CrAzYCoYoTe
A-Rod is in my book and most and many others the best player in the world.I know that sounds like something a 1st grader would say about their mom or dad, but its true if he would get his act together he would come out the best player but until then im not so sure. As for the yankees trading him its a bad idea especially discussing during the season.
toddyboman
So the Yankees wanted to talk during the season. A-Rod and agent say NO. We are not talking during the season. Yankees say fine if you opt out of your contract then we wont talk ever. Sounds like A-Rod could be a FA. A-Rod agent wants A-Rod to be the first 30 million a year player. Thats crazy. The heck with my kids going to school and getting an education. I'm gong to get them to out and playing baseball ASAP.

Two steps ahead of ya. My kid's a natural right hander, but I'm keeping his right arm tied behind his back so he'll have to learn how to do everything left handed. MCH
Also, if there's no chance in Hades of the Dodgers signing him in the offseason. Ned won't negotiate with Boras after the Drew incident.

You are more than two steps there, cause first I need to have a boy. Great idea with making him a lefty.

MCH
What you mean signing JD Peuw wasnt a good move?:D Ned didn't sign Drew. He inherited him from DePodesta. I was talking about Drew opting out of a guaranteed 11 million a year contract that was considered more than he was worth at the time, to test the free agent market. In actuality, Boras had previously had conversations with the Red Sox and he knew that if Drew opted out, he would get a couple of million more. This past off season the Dodgers made a ton of moves but they didn't move on a single Boras client. Boras is the poster boy for what's wrong with major league baseball. buckbuster11
Yanks or Angels. There might only be 5 or so teams that could even think about it unless he takes less money.
