Bachflock
Well, I mounted a Cobra Brite-Eye three pin sight on my Bear Blacktail Hunter - first time I'd ever shot with a sight. As you can tell I've got some practice to get on but I'm thinking I can move back to 15 yards. Thoughts? Also - I "upgraded" on my bow. I ended up getting that Pearson Diamond back I'd discussed in a different thread. Here is a picture the guy that sold it used. I didn't get the arrows, the Limbsaver stabilizer, nor the pictured sight. He did put on a different stablizer for me and I mounted the same sight I had on my other bow on this one. I'm taking it out Saturday to give it a try. Its currently at the pro-shop getting a look over.
MadHuntinPastor
Go for 15 and further. That always sharpens your skills moving out and when you come back in the short distances are a slam dunk! It looks like you need a little more padding behind those arrows or you will be shooting pass through in no time. Also broken fletchings will start being a problem. Keep up the good work. I agree... my target stop was a cardboard box stuffed with styrofoam, plastic shopping bags, and other pieces of cardboard.
Tony
when you stuff that target, make sure you cant get anything more in there at all. it will help with stopping arrows. looks like your coming along nicely. heck go to 20 and see if you get the same tight groups. try only one arrow per target. it will save on fletching. just keep repeating the same stuff your doing now. keep us updated with pics and questions. MCH
One thing that should help you is to buy a complete set of arrows. I notice that those arrows appear to be different brands. I'd wager that some may not be the same length and they vary in weight. It's hard to get good groups like that. Another thing you could do is just shoot the arrows that group the best.
