good bows for youth

I am looking for opinions on a good bow for a 12 year old youth. My son is 12 and has a small Team Realtree Brave youth combo that he has been toying with for years. He is pretty god with it but has out grown it a couple of years ago. I know nothing about bows. I do work p/t at Academy Sports but they are very limited on bows. I do like the Browning Micro Adrenaline - which Academy has in stock.

If there is a previous thread on this subject, please provide the link.

Thanks

I shot the Browning Micro Midas 3 for three years in the 30#-40# model.. It was a great bow for the money and I killed plenty of animals with it. I even got my first deer with it. Now they have the Micro Midas 4 out, which I think is even cooler looking with an all black riser and parallel limbs. But any bow that can easily adjust draw length without a press is a great youth bow.

Bought my son a Micro Adrenaline for Christmas of 2005. We got the 40-50 pound one and we're very happy. It's a great starter bow and the price is pretty reasonable. ;)

The Parker Buck Shot Jr. and the Diamond Edge are the two that I would recommend. The Brownings are OK at best. For about $20 more you get much better accessories with the two I mentioned. I purchased the Parker for my wife last fall for her first bow and it is working out great, but I probably would have bought the Diamond had it been available.

Of course if you are looking for the best: The Bowtech Equalizer has got to be it.

I really think you can go higher than a 24 inch draw length. Looking the other day for my wife and saw them in a 25 inch draw length. It is a good bow, for a good price.

You are right. I have also been looking at this bow for my wife. Awesome shooting little bow.

D/L is 19"-26" with 1/2" sizes 22 1/2" - 25 1/2"

Max weights are 20lbs - 50lbs
