Swamphunter
Both my kids start school full days this year and although I will miss my daughter dearly (she is starting kindergarten), my son is in second grade this fall. It will seem at tough at first without the kids being around, but come the beginning of October...I will adjust! I am going nuts sitting here waiting for hunting season to start. I have ordered my new scope just out of boredom, and can't wait to get it put on...I talk about hunting to everyone who will listen...and my mind wanders constantly. :D
Randy
I talk about hunting to everyone who will listen...and my mind wanders constantly. :DWelcome to my world! LMBO It's really not all that bad, you'll be surprised at all the ideas you'll get by just daydreaming. Problem is, most of them get expensive!! :D

NS whitetail
being out at sea keeps my mind off of hunting for now, however when the first of Sept. rolls around and you can feel the change in air ------ my mind goes into hunting overdrive
Tominator
I think we can all relate, eh? I have some other thoughts, but I guess I'll keep them to myself, lol.
OJR
Guess What We Saw Tonight? I talk about hunting to everyone who will listen...and my mind wanders constantly. :D Just to get you really going! My wife and I went to a wedding this evening and on the way home, we saw a cow elk just off the highway, several deer and one that had just been hit by a car! Lots of critters roaming around tonight! On top of that, I am not going to buy any tags this fall!!!

Swamphunter
I stopped at the campground where my hunting buddy was camping and it was all we talked about. Plus I am trying to get him interested in heading to Quebec or Ontario bear hunting next spring. Sounds like he might bite...eh?
wtnhunt
Got two of our three in school. Only 3 more years before we can get our youngest one in school if they make changes to allow for her to go into pre-k. With the way my oldest two fight, think I am about ready for them to be back in school. They go back August 8th.

Swamphunter
noooooot so fast... i'm still enjoying summer here. fall and cold will come, that's a sure thing. Summer is really sucking here anyhow....pool temperature hovers at 68 - 70 degrees. Only for about a week in June did it get warm enough to enjoy it. I grew up swimming in the cold St. Lawrence River, but I am getting too old to want to swim in 70 degree water. My kids don't care, but I am not getting in it. Overnight temps are in the high 40's/ low 50's here. Might as well be hunting season.
wildside
Fall has always been my favorite season. . . . the beautiful colors, crisp cool temps, blue skies, apples and that nervous excitement of yet another school year beginning. Since my husband introduced me to hunting 8 years ago, I have yet another reason to love the season! It's true, the "fever" to hunt is very real. I've tried to explain it to non-hunting friends, but to no avail. How lucky we all are to experience a bird's eye view of nature from the stand, the heart-pounding thrill of hearing the steps of an animal, and the instant grin that can't help but appear when a nice buck enters a shooting lane. Enjoy the here and now of summer, yes. But, oh, how fun it is to look forward to unwrapping the "present" of fall.
Swamphunter
It starts off slowly here....I change starting mid summer, and everyday feel a bit more like hunting...I just feel it early this year.
Guest Andrea
Ah yes..............the start of school. CANNOT WAIT!!!!!!!!!!!!! :) Don't know if I'll get much hunting in this season with this house being built. By that time, I'll be involved. ( Painting, wiring, plumbing, floors) I usually pass this time by fishing, but we've had rain everyday and the river looks like Yoo-Hoo. So bring on the fall temps and the sound of that school bus rumbling down the road!!!
