Gator
Hmm, I wonder if they ran across bigfoot, and have been caught????
MCH
Sorry guys, been swamped today. Long story short, we decided to camp on the opposite side of the creek where we camped 3 years ago. Good news is that its close to Dale & Mike's Honey Hole(where Ryan shot his nice 8 pointer). We barely had time to scout 3 areas. Two of them panned out but one was a waste of energy. All 3 areas were good travel corridors with beaten paths, but one of them would almost be unhuntable. You may be able to get a blind in there but even then your furthest shot would be 20 yards at the most. We plan on going back soon. If anyone would like to make a trip down here one weekend to scout, give me a holler. I'll gladly join anyone. Oh, and even though we were there during the heat of the day(3:30 to 6:30), we managed to see two deer and 4 different flocks of turkey. okiedog
I'll be making a trip down before hand, but it will be a bit yet. I'll be sure to holler at ya.

okiedog
Who is 100 percent on going to bow camp this year? I was, but the more I get to looking at the map thats gonna be a long haul for me with my "not so friendly gas drinker:D". I may change my mind closer to time. so.... whos planning on the trip? Gator
I'm in the same boat as you Trey, except I MIGHT get about a gallon better than you, and if I pull that camper that far, there that goes!!! But I can't commit right now anyways, I am trying to get another fishing trip in the works for next month. And then I am off to Alabama in Dec, so I need to see what I will have for vacation days. maddhunter
Cole and I may try to get down this year, just depends on the weather and if I get the camper fixed that I am working on. It's alot smaller than our slide-out fifth wheel and shouldn't cost near as much to pull and will sleep 5 when I get done with it. But if it's not too aweful cold and we can sleep in the tent. We will have a much better chance of going.
MCH
Hate to say it, but we may need to just to cancel the camp this year. With no definites, more than likely we won't have anyone. I'll call Steve later on today to see what he thinks but this may be the best thing to do this year with gas prices the way they are. MCH
What would everyone say if we held it at James Collins again??? Steve is in Iowa right now so I can't get his opinion but I'm sure he'd be up for it. It would be a lot closer to Trey, Jason, Mike and Dale and we're two for two on deer kills. We could see if we could keep the streak alive.
Gator
Hasn't camp been at James Collins twice, and SE Oklahoma once? What say we go somewhere different, "expand" our horizons so to speak? Who am I kidding, I may not even be able to go, alot depends on if I go fishing next month or not, but really, I don't care where we may end up, if I make it, I make it. Ya'll decide, and I'll foller
MCH
I'm not sure what I'm gonna do yet but I talked to Steve and he's game for almost anywhere. Wherever ya'll decide, I'll let Steve know. He's already got days off scheduled and raring to go.
Griz
I'll be honest with yall... I wasn't real impressed with James Collins. To many people for one thing. I think we should try Atoka... Oh and another thing. I can't make any plans until a week before it gets here. It all depends on what is going on here on the Ranch rather I can go or not... okiedog
Atoka sounds good. I have driven by the WMA and PHA many times. I have seen deer around the entrance to the PHA many times while traveling hwy 43. I have never hunted it, but have hunted private land to the north and east several times. maddhunter
Well guys unless it's within a 2-3 hour trip Cole and I won't be coming. We are planning a trip to a WMA/PHA either the 3rd weekend of Oct. or the 2nd weekend of Nov. Where ever ya'll decide to go have a good time!!!!!!!!!! MCH
Here's a couple reminders of how much fun these things can be. Note the flat tent in front of Mike..... My Eyes! My Eyes!!!! Payback for the plumber pic. The morning after the infamous "Truetalker grunt tube incident".

MCH
I promised Jason I wouldn't tell Andrea about this post. Would someone else mind doing that for me????
okiedog
Everyone wants to go to different places. What if someone made a poll and listed all of the ones mentioned to see where the majority is between these: 3 rivers, James Collins, and Atoka?
