muggs
I'm gonna say the LA, Anaheim, Orange County Angels, or whatever they call themselves now-a-days are gonna take the trophy, although I won't be upset if my Tribe can make the playoffs and pull it off. What do you guys (and gal) think?
MCH
Depends. If the Dodgers trade for Cabrera then I'd have them as the odds on favorite. If they don't, I'd have to say the Red Sox.
buckbuster11
I think it will be the Yankees vs Red Sox in the championship game with the Yankees winning. Then it will be the Yankees vs Yankees in the World Series with the Yankees winning the crown. Actually I like Anaheim Los Angelas United States California San Francisco Earth Angels as well. I like Detroit too, but I like the Angels a little better.

MCH
Come on guys. They have the best record in the NL and they're in the best division in the NL. You gotta give my boys their props! And notice I haven't said a word about their rookies that I've touted for the last couple of years that are now paying dividends???
muggs
If you think Kemp is "paying dividends" I really hope you don't invest in the stock market Kev. Kemp is a junk bond that's not going to pan out.
buckbuster11
Using the argument that the Dodgers have the best record in the NL is like saying I have the best record in a one team fantasy league. C'mon man. The NL is worse then the NFC in football. They should give the World Series trophy to whoever wins the AL championship and call it a season. That would work out great actually. Then we wouldn't have to watch another boring, lame, claw your eyes out World Series, and the baseball season would actually end before Christmas this season. JJL
When it comes right down to it, shouldn't the Dodgers actually be called.......The Brooklyn Dodgers of Los Angeles??????? I mean fair is fair.

Ya'll are just mad because your teams suck.
Michiganbowhunter_SQ2
kind of tough to go against the tigers...their bullpen is slowly coming around, and if Zumaya comes back and produces, they might give it another good run, especially with the way they are hitting the ball...if not them, then i'd say the california san angeles angels of anahiem

Tell us how you really feel about the WS. Oh I am hoping an NL team wins. All it takes is one team to get hot at the right time. Kinda like last year, no one gave any NL team a chance, then the Cardinals got hot, put some pressure on the Tigers then BAM WS champs. Hopefully the same can happen again. Do not real think it will be the Cardinals, but as long as its an NL team.

If it means said teams can dump a washed up Vet (or a trouble maker like Bradley) and the corresponding salary they bring with them for Kemp, I guess you'd be right. The Dodgers will take on bad contracts and verteran jerks as willingly as the Yankees..ala...Jeff Kent. btw- If they actually played before the majority of the world fell asleep, I think they'd get more pub and the waking world would realize there's two GM's who really stink, Brian Cashman and whoever the GM of the Dodgers is who said "what, Nomar?!? We'll give him and is tread-like hammy what ever they want."
buckbuster11
If Kemp is so good how's come he isnt on your fantasy team there Kev? PS...I just found out Kemp is from Oklahoma...thus explaining the man crush.
VABuckSlayer
My "real world" instinct tells me that Boston will beat New York for the WS. However... my "dark horse" pick has the Padres beating the Mariners for the WS. Would that be a waste of TV if those 2 teams make it. It could happen though. If the Padres could hit they could win the West for sure. They definately have the pitching. Mariners are looking pretty impressive this year. Kind of surprises to me. My "fantasy world" pick has the Yankees making an incredible come back and beating the Braves for another WS title! LOL Eric

For one, my fantasy team is stacked and two, Kemp isn't an everyday player right now. He's sharing time with Ethier in right and spelling Pierre and Gonzo every now and then. It's funny, though. Last year, you two were making fun of my obsession with Russell Martin. And now that he's an allstar and one of the best catchers in the majors, all of a sudden it's not so funny. He's already an allstar starter in his first full year.

muggs
I have a catcher thats just fine thanks. You might know him. He goes by the name V-Mart. So then you wouldn't trade Martin and his keeper rights for VMart then??
buckbuster11
Yeah I would just because he has keeper rights. But a straight up trade? No way.
muggs
VMart and maybe Mauer are the only two catchers you wouldn't trade straight up though bub.
MCH
You guys are crazy. Martin is the best fantasy catcher out there right now. Mark my words. Next year, he will be number one on all the "experts" draft boards. I'd almost trade Hamels w/keeper rights right now, but not quite.
