Swamphunter
I know some guys that use the same arrow over to take more than one animal as long as it is in good condition. Me, personally never would. I feel there is too great a chance that is struck the ground and damaged it. I am curious how many of you guys re-use arrows that have killed game, and what is the most amount of animals with the same arrow. Hey...its the off season still. Gator
I'll use the same arrow, no questions. I just check it over, flext it, and then send it down range!!
okiedog
No doubt I use the same arrows over after a kill. Usually clean them up and refletch the feathers and back in the quiver. I know one arrow I have has passed through 4 different deer. I usually wont re-use the same blades on the broadhead though.
Swamphunter
4 animals! Wow....Definitely got your money worth out of that one!
MUDRUNNER
I use the same arrow again as long as it's not bent.I still shoot good old aluminums.I've shot 2 deer with one arow and it's still in my quiver, but I've also had some get worked over pretty good if they weren't pass throughs. buckee
I use the same arrows over again, as long as they spin true. Sharpening the head back up or replacing it if need be, is no biggy to me. I've never tried to keep track, of which arrows are doing the killing. Maybe I should
Tony
never inthe past did i ever reuse an arrow. i always retired it for practice if it was shoot able. this year i will be using the same arrow i shot my doe with last year. it is still perfect and with new replacemant blades in the Muzzy 75s it will be just perfect. i cleaned the blood off of it and really checked it out good to make sure it is ok. hopefully it wont get broken like most of mine do when i shoot a deer. AdvantageTimberLou
I retire it, To me it did its job. It was intended to take down the animal I chose to shoot at. Whether a pass through or not, that arrow becomes a practice one and another new one fills the void in my quiver. We spend good amounts on gear, do not want to chance a 2nd shot with that arrow and have it ruin the buck or turkey of a lifetime. Might never happen but there always is that chance! Rhino
I'll use the same arrows over and over again too as long as they are not damaged. Like buckee though I haven't kept track of which arrows did the killing except on one occasion when I killed 2 does on back to back days with the same arrow. maddhunter
I took 2 deer and a turkey last year with the same arrow and broadhead. I never did when I was using aluminum shafts though, most uaually they were bent.
hutchies
2 with the same arrow and broadhead last year. I rinsed, replaced blades, spun test, and it was back in quiver same night.
Bow Hunter Derek
Heck yea. I've got a quiver full of arrows that have sliced through multiple animals. Deer, hogs, turkeys, bear, and many others. So long as the arrow is in good shape, just wash it off and it is good to go. It doesn't always work out this way, but I even have some that the feathers have been through an animal. If the feathers are simply bloody and laying flat, I just wash them out with soapy water to get the blood out, stand them up, and let them dry. Still fly perfect. Broadheads get completely torn down after an animal. Either new blades, or re-sharpened depending on the condition. Sometimes broadheads flat get retried. Maryland_Bowhunter
I use arrows after they have killed all the time . Just as long as it is in good shape I slap on a new BH spin test and it is ready to go . The answer to your ? is 6 deer .
Turkeygirl
I used the same arrow for both deer I killed last fall...I just had to replace the dull blades on my Thunderhead broadhead.
Tominator
To be honest, I've never retired an arrow just because it killed an animal, even if that animal made "the book." I guess there's a chance I've taken more than one deer with the same arrow, but I've never kept track.
Straight Shooter
I've got one ready from last season that has gone through 5 deer. I recovered 4 of the 5 and still sick to this days about the 5th. I hit her through the liver and had no blood trail. I know she died and went to waste, bad on my part! Anyway, it's still the same arrow, trocar tip and ferral, I only change the blades. I do check all aspects of it out after it's air the lungs out and went into the ground, it gets the spin test and all.
