bfletch7441
Woo Hoo, I got drawn in for a gun hunt at James Collins here in Oklahoma! I'm pretty pumped about it. They've had Okie bow camp down there at least once, and I've been there a number of times with some buddies. I know of several great bucks killed off this place. It's typically a bow only public hunting area, but they allow for several controlled hunts every year with rifle and BP, and I got one of the rifle hunts! November 3-4 I'll be there with an either sex tag in my pocket. Any of you fellers out there that want to point me in the direction of your honey hole down there, by all means, I'm all ears. MCH and Griz know quite a bit about JC, maybe they can give you some help, I went last year, but I can't remeber where all I hunted at

MCH
Congratulations. I killed my 9 point 2 years ago beside Ash Creek. Go to the far end of the WMA and right before you start up the mountain, there will be a cleared out spot to your right. Park there and you'll find a path through some briars. Follow that and you'll come to a road. Walk about 4-500 yards and find you a tree. The mountain and the creek make a good funnell. Hunted this spot last year but unfortunately for me, so did like 5 other hunters.

We're headed down for an early scouting trip, and will probably make an early season bow hunt down there also. Ben
